Especially in social research, data protection is an extremely important topic, newly focused by the Basic Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO). Research data management is a basic requirement for compliance with the rules of good scientific practice and for the success of doctoral process in general.

In the workshop, Dr. Jessica Stegemann (e-Science-Service) and Sebastian Zimmermann (Data Protection Officer of the University of Siegen) will give an introduction and will be available for questions.

The event is primarily aimed at the members of the DFG Research Training Group “Consequences of Social Services Work”, but is open to other interested doctoral students from the University of Siegen.
