Networking is an important part of scientific work. Researchers can broaden their perspectives and, in many cases, benefit from it for their own research. The cooperative project LICOT-WASO is a project of collaboration between the University of Siegen and the University of Ghana. A total of 18 academics is working together on the topic of disability. In a digital event, the members of the Research Training Group met informally to share experiences with the collaborators from the LICOT-WASA project. The project not only has some overlaps with the Research Training Group in regard to content. The international exchange enabled the participants to take a look at research and qualification work outside of Germany. Due to the different thematic focuses, methodological approaches and other political and structural circumstances, there were new impulses for their own projects.
