In 2 days, the conference of the Research Training Group takes place. Already this Thursday and Friday we will discuss consequences research together with international guests. Some highlights in advance:

The event will be kicked off by our dean and colleague Prof. Dr. Thomas Coelen. Our training group’s spokesperson Prof. Dr. Bernd Dollinger will then share introductory thoughts on the research of consequences of social services work.

Holger Ziegler of the University of Bielefeld will speak as the first keynote on the topic : “Consequences and Social Pedagogy – Perspectives of Critical Realism”.

As the second keynote, Katharina Gundrum and Charis Hengstenberg from the University of Wuppertal will give a presentation on “Harm from Child and Youth Services – Conceptual Considerations and Empirical Insights.”

In a third keynote, Uwe Flick from the Freie Universität Berlin will present his reflections on consequences and methodological multiperspectivity under the title “… I am at the mercy of the hospital system and therapy, the needles, the infusions …” – Consequences of Professional Social Services and Methodological Multiperspectivity in Research”.

It will remain exciting until the end: Prof. Dr. Chantal Munsch will provide an outlook on the second funding phase of the Research Training Group. The focus of the lecture, entitled “Consequences of Social Services Work Emerge in Social Contexts – Outlook on the Second Phase of RTG 2493”, is the exploration of consequences and the significance of contextual conditions of the respective assistance.
