Workshop on (gender-)difference and research

Both social services work and research work are always integrated in the process of working with (and on) differentiations and have important consequences for the re-production of those. In a workshop entitled “(Gender-)Difference and Research” under the direction of Prof. ‘in Dr. ‘in Melanie Plößer (FH Bielefeld), the participants dealt with questions around theoretical as well as methodical-methodological positions on the production of (gender-)differences in the research of consequences of social services. The workshop did not only provide a decided insight into scientific discourses on differentiation, but also contributed to sensitising and reflecting on the relevance of diversity.
