On Friday, June 26, 2020, first insights into the topic “Research Data Management and Data Protection” could be gained in a digital workshop. In the three-and-a-half-hour workshop the speakers Jessica Stegemann (University Library of Siegen), Christian Trapp (ZIMT University of Siegen), and Sebastian Zimmermann (Data Protection Officer of the University of Siegen) provided information about technical and legal basics and platforms. The main focus of the workshop was on issues that should be considered when generating, processing and further working with research data.
