In today’s colloquium we could welcome Mechthild Bereswill from the University of Kassel. In the colloquium, we dealt with “Sociological gender perspectives on consequences research”. By means of illustrative examples, Ms. Bereswills own observations and references to her own research, the professor illustrated the immense significance of gender as well as the necessity of adopting an open and thoroughly self-critical perspective throughout researching processes. In terms of consequences research, the awareness of the complexity of gender constructions and ways to produce gender in interaction and through settings were recognized as important to keep in mind.
