At our colloquium, we were pleased to welcome Sarah Hitzler (University of Bielefeld) as a guest speaker. In order to introduce us to the topic, she gave a lecture entitled “It’ s all to do for YOU. The interactive production of institutionally relevant roles in the conversation about social services”. The methodical and methodological overview of the analytical approach to conversation gave us an impression of the research of social services using the example of assistance plan discussions. This was followed by a discussion in the plenum about the consequences that could be reconstructed through this perspective. The role of the addressees’ perspective also became a topic of discussion.
